Hanging Out in Brooklyn

Topshop dress, Lazy Oaf neckace, Selfridges boots, Vivienne Westwood vest, Lucky Penny bag.

Hanging out in Brooklyn with my best friend has been a blast so far. Surprisingly cold up here, but wanted to throw one of my outfits here.

I talked to a specialist at Lush, this awesome body shop in Manhattan who said he's seen red handbags everywhere this spring. Mine holds EVERYTHING - there's a small child in there, the must-have essential for spring. Jokes. See you all Monday!

A Colorblock Look from H&M

I know, I know - you're probably all thinking "" My response: yes. It's so fun to mix prints, so why not mix colors? H&M is a great place to find giant bangles and funky necklaces - there's plenty to choose from and the prices are very reasonable.

If a hounds-tooth print isn't your style, it's easy to pair these accessories and ones like them with a simple neutral like navy, tan or white.

Big plastic bangles - they look like candy!

But seriously, it's a giant statement necklace. How is it not fun?

One More Look Before Spring Break

Dress: Topshop, Boots, Selfridges, Sweater: Madewell, Shirt: Pacsun, Necklace: Lucky Penny, Tights: Betsey Johnson, Scarf: Urban Outfitters

A shirt over a dress. It's not groundbreaking but it is an easy, simple way to make dresses function like skirts and extend the life of your wardrobe.

I am six hours away from Boone and therefore, the posts will be a bit more personal these next few days. Hope you enjoy a look into my closet - expect a lot of fun accessories.

I'll be in Brooklyn for a few days next week and will attempt to pull a Sartorialist and capture some street styles. If you're on spring break, have a great time and if you're in Boone, I'll see you soon!

Scarf Worn as a Skirt

I'm all about Kristen's accessories - from her vanilla-hued sunglasses to the pins on her denim jacket, it's a cool and fun preview for spring.
